Modern construction is a complex, highly organised commercial business. Every construction project is different with challenges in planning, design, construction and commissioning. UniSA offers programs in construction management, construction economics, building surveying and built environment. These programs, are accredited by several professional bodies, provide pathways into a range of professional careers in the building, surveying and the construction industry which is currently experiencing a skills shortage. The construction sector has been identified as a priority for feder funding in 2011/12, driven by the mining boom and aging population.
